COMMUNITY SERVICE
The previous month the Jasper Moose Family Center #1175 made donations of Funds or Services to:
Jasper Strassenfest, Jasper Football Booster Club, Dubois County Sportsman Club and the Benefit for Roger McBride.  These donations, as are all donations by Jasper Moose Lodge #1175, are made as a result of the generous support of each and every member so “Thank You!” and continue to support your Moose Lodge;

MEMBERSHIP NEWS
The previous month, the following new member was enrolled in the Jasper Moose.  The new member was: Steven Kieser sponsored by Forrest Kieser.    Congratulations to our new members so far this year and a big “Thank You!” to the sponsor.    NOTICE!!!  FREE DUES when you sign up your firrst 2 members of the Moose Year.  First 2 members gets you 1 year free dues.  This membership program will run till further notic

NO SATURDAY BUFFET THIS MONTH
Jasper Moose Lodge #1175 will not be having a buffet on September 4th due to other obligations but the dinning room will be open as usual.  Good food, good service and priced right!  Join us in the dining room and help support your Moose Lodge.

LODGE CLOSED
Jasper Moose Family Center will be closed on Monday, September 6, 2010 in observance of the Labor Day Holiday!  The Lodge will open again as usual on Tuesday.  To everyone who works to make this Country great, “Thank you for all you do 018401742 and enjoy the much deserved day off!”

PRIME RIB NIGHT CHANGES
Until further notice, Prime Rib dinners will only be served the 3rd Saturday of each month only!  There will be no Prime Rib dinners on the 1st Saturday.

JASPER MOOSE FAMILY PICNICbr /> The Jasper Moose Lodge Family Picnic will be held on September 26, 2010 at the Jasper Outdoor Rec.  Fun and fellowship begins at noon when the doors open and food will be served at 4:00pm.  Everyone is asked to please bring a covered dish as the Lodge will furnish: Chicken, Hotdogs, Mashed Potatoes and Beverages.  Horseshoes and fellowship will make for a good time.  Come and enjoy one of the many advantages of being a member of the  Moose, quality family time!  All members are invited to bring your spouse or one guest and may bring immediate family members or grandchildren under the age of 21.

STRASSENFEST
To everyone who helped with the Moose Stand at this year’s Strassenfest we say THANK YOU!  This goes out to those who helped set up or tear down the booth itself to those who helped work the booth.  We also want to thank everyone who stopped by the booth and made a purchase.  Whether you helped or made a purchase, the money from the stand allows the Jasper Moose Family Center to support the numerous organizations that we do throughout the year!.  Rest up and remember that we will see you again next year!!

GET ACQUAINTED NIGHT
Jasper Moose # 1175 monthly Get Acquainted Night is scheduled for September 9, 2010 at 7:00 p.m   We will be having Grilled Pork Chops with plenty of fixin's.  The cost is only $5.00 per person.  New members and their sponsors will be guests of the Lodge.  Come out and have dinner with your Lodge Brothers and make some new friends.  Paid members may also bring in a prospective member to show them around the Lodge as long as the paid member pays for the prospective member’s meal.

This month’s Jasper Moose Lodge #1175 Legion Activity Committee Meeting will be held on September 1,  2010 at 7:00pm.  Come on out and see what this second degree of service is doing for our community and family center

DISTRICT NEWS
The 8th District Meeting will be held on September 19, 2010 at Vincennes Lodge #281.  They will be serving lunch at 12:00pm.  The district meeting itself will begin at 2:00pm
